Serve ideally at a temperature of 13 to 15°C. (55-59°F.).
Will be the perfect companion to a plate of charcuterie, red and white meats, simple local dishes, daily cuisine and soft cheeses.
Drink young to fully benefit from its aromatic intensity.
The grapes for this “Terres de Gamay” blend were harvested from different selected terroirs of France, in Beaujolais and Comté Tolosan in the southwest. They were then vinified and blended together in order to obtain this very beautiful expression of the Mommessin style.
A touch of Syrah was added to the whole to enhance the expression fruity and balanced Gamay Noir.
Terroirs are very diverse and all are made of granite soils.
Grapes are vinified according to the Beaujolais method, with a semi-carbonic maceration. Aging in vats.
Weather conditions in 2023 in Beaujolais and Comté Tolosan were marked by a hot, dry summer with heatwaves, but beneficial rain at the end of the season enabled the Gamay grapes to ripen well. Harvesting began at the end of August. Yields in the Beaujolais region were slightly above average, with smaller but concentrated berries, resulting in a high-quality harvest. In the south of France, yields were more modest due to water stress, but the grapes harvested were of remarkable quality and concentrated. The quality of the vintage is promising, with wines of fine aromatic intensity. Aromas of ripe red fruit, black cherry, raspberry, pepper and floral nuances. Tastings reveal well-balanced wines with supple tannins and a lingering finish.
